San Francisco’s 2025 Cherry Blossom Festival was a beautiful reminder of resilience and cultural pride—even with Peace Plaza under construction, Japantown came alive with energy and tradition. As a Bay Area event photographer, I was thrilled to capture this iconic celebration through my lens.
From vibrant taiko drummers and traditional Japanese dance troupes to colorful floats and smiling families, every moment of the Grand Parade told a powerful story of community spirit and cultural legacy.
The Cherry Blossom Festival is more than an event—it’s a tribute to Japanese American heritage and a chance to bring people together through art, food, and history. I especially loved capturing candid moments: a child waving a flag, a spontaneous bow of thanks, a burst of petals caught midair.
As a San Francisco photographer specializing in cultural festivals, street photography, and community events, this experience was an honor to document.
